Every year, we see more and more successful women in poker. 2016 is no different as we’ve already seen a number of ladies go deep in major tournaments. But how are some of the more-famous female players doing? We caught up with James Carter from PokerStop.com  and he gives us his take on the matter by looking at results from Maria Ho, Vivian Im, Adrienne Rowsome, Fatima Moreira de Melo and Cate Hall.

Maria Ho
Back in March, Maria Ho final tabled the 2016 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Main Event and collected $179,300 for her sixth-place effort. Unfortunately, this is the only score that Ho has earned on the year. But given that she cashed eight times in the 2014 WSOP, we wouldn’t be surprised to see her do well this summer. Vivian Im
Bursting onto the poker scene in 2010 and ’11, Vivian Im has been accumulating plenty of cashes in live and online poker tournaments. Im is still searching for her first tournament cash in 2016, though. But the South Korean is always a threat to earn a score, so follow her results at .

Adrienne Rowsome
Rowsome first became known for her online poker exploits, playing under the screenname ‘talonchick.’ But she’s been playing in a few more live tournaments lately, including a PLO Hi/Lo victory at the 2016 PCA ($22,420). The Canadian has also been making small tournament cashes online, building on her career winnings of $297k. Check out Rowsome’s results and news at .

Fatima Moreira de Melo
This former Dutch field hockey star had good results in 2015, earning $63,040 through nine different cashes. This year has been a little quieter for Fatima Moreira de Melo because she’s only earned a 44th-place effort at the 2016 EPT Grand Final ($19,188). But she’s also been busy with TV show appearances, such as her singing debut on the Dutch reality show It Takes Two. You can see everything that Fatima is up to – both for poker and celebrity events – at her Twitter handle .

Cate Hall
Few female poker players have experienced the success that Cate Hall has had in the past two years. Hall final tabled two WPT events last year, including a fifth-place effort in the 2015 WPT Five Diamond World Classic ($291,320). Besides cashing in a few WPT events in 2016 she she finished in 9th place in the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in April, running her live tournament winnings over the last two years to $509k. Based on the way that Hall is playing, she’s a threat to win a title soon – and why not her first bracelet this summer! Follow Hall’s tourney results at .
