WSOP #3: Ho, Liebert and Birnbaum Survive to Live Another Day

pistol & kortPot-Limit Omaha is known to be an action-packed game and event three the $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha confirmed the fact. The event draw 1,128 entries and when the battle was over only 106 players were still standing.

On top on them all Loren Klein, who was the only player to reach six figures with 133,900 chips in his stack.

Three ladies still remain in the tournament. Maria Ho is the one with most chips as she ended the day in 21th place with 32,000, which equals the average chip stack of 31,925.

One-time bracelet winner Kathy Liebert also survived to day 2, but she has a lot of work in front of her as she has only 7,000 chips left. Nancy Birnbaum is even shorter with 5,000 chips (5 bb). Even though the prospects are rather gloomy, you never know with PLO, and with a couple of double ups everything can happen.

Update: Nancy Birnbaum did not make it to day 2 after all, she told Pokernews Women on Twitter:

Instead Birnbaum will play the $1K No-Limit Hold’em today and hopefully be able to continue her deep run.
