Just three months ago poker player and philanthropist Lena Evans won her first WSOP Circuit ring at Planet Hollywood. Today she won her second gold ring and $15,977, when she took down Event #5: $365 No-Limit Holdem Turbo at the Rio in Las Vegas. By doing this she also became the first woman to win multiple rings this season.
In Event #1: $365 No-Limit Holdem Nadya Magnus nearly claimed her third WSOP Circuit ring, but the pro from Chicago had to settle for second place and a nice $35,525 paycheck. Magnus broke into the poker scene in 2010 when she was the “loose cannon” on PokerStars the “Big Game” and took home $63,600 for her efforts. Now seven years later she has accumulated more than $400,000 in live tournament earnings.
